Founded in 1983, China Pearl has built a reputation as a provider of high-quality pearls, with immense inventory (you name it, they have it). China Pearl customers include department stores, chain stores, and independent retailers. Major clients include Macy’s, Bloomingdales, Kohl’s, JCPenney, Fred Meyer, Zales, Belk, Home Shopping Network, Helzberg, Ross, TJMaxx, Ross Simons, Walmart and Amazon.
China Pearl also produces pearl jewelry under several brand labels; providing clients with private label goods and other related services such as customized boxes and packaging.
As the company name might suggest, China Pearl’s business is rooted in Chinese Freshwater Pearls. But that 35-year old moniker does not tell the full story of the company’s pan-Pacific product line. Today, China Pearls forte extends to Chinese and Japanese Akoya Cultured Pearls, White and Golden South Sea Pearls from Australia and South East Asia, and Tahitian Black Pearls from French Polynesia.
Throughout the last decade, the retail industry has transformed in a variety of ways, placing new demands on vendors: supplying inventory both on consignment and in large quantities to fulfill weekly replenishment orders. As more and more consumers embrace shopping online, China Pearl has transformed its business model and made strategic investments in its Ecommerce department. This has enabled the company to be the largest pearl provider, drop shipping to the above mentioned retail clients and their online business.
